I have a 1970 Triumph Tiger (see pic) which was rebuilt from the ground up by Jaye Strait. He's the proprietor of Britech of New England and this bike took over a year to accomplish. Some of the modifications to stock were: Motor balanced (during total rebuild) Hayward belt drive (primary) Hi-Output alternator Electronic Ignition Heat reduction coating (patent # owned by Jaye Strait) Friction reduction coating (patent # owned by Jaye Strait) Reynolds GP (o-ring) racing chain Extra wide TT bars (really rare) I won't tell ya what this beauty cost me in 1995 but in 1998 dollars Jaye gets upwards of $16,000 for one of these handbuilt beauties. Mine was peacefully sitting in a garage when a lady decided to drive her car through the garage door and smash it up for me. She bent the forktubes and wrecked the fender, front hub and rim (some of the stainless spokes are reusable). There's a little scuff on the left side panel and the tank has a ding where the triple tree smacked it. In the rear the subframe is bent and the rear fender& tailight are toast and the seatcover is scratched. The shocks are toast as well. I can't bear to look at it anymore and can't afford to put it back to showroom quality till after the court settlement (2yrs) so I'm sacrificing it for $4,500 obo 215-222-6006 (anytime)
