     I'd appreciate very much hearing from anybody who has had a roof done
by International Super Roof Ltd, particularly with what they call their
Super Roof II aluminum product.

     They approached us with what they say is a model roof project or some
such things, basically they claim they are discounting in order to get a
house in the area they can use to show off their product, but even
discounted they want $12,900 for 2500 square feet of low slope roofing.
Hot tar 13 years ago was $4,000.

     So I guess from my perspective a lot hinges on how permanent the
product really is, how easy or difficult the company is to deal with, etc.

     I'd really like to hear from people who are not references they give
me since obviously they're not going to give me disatisfied customers as
references.

Always be *extreamely* careful with contractors that approach you with any kind of
"special promotion". I'd be real wary...

I think I would go out and get quotes from other companies. Big Don's
response would be LOOT roofers.

===>Hmmm. I've been in the metal roofing biz for over 15 years on
===>the manufacturer side and have NEVER heard of them. Sounds to
===>me like they've got an on-site rollformer or some such and are
===>making their "own" roof system....Beware!

===>this sounds like the standard used car dealer close: Hurry, buy
===>now, get a great deal...which is bullshit. they are going to make
===>money on every job they do. Also, $5.16 per sqauare foot for an
===>installed aluminum roof is ridiculous....you can get 'em installed
===>here in Dallas, TX every day for $3.50/sf or less.

===>I sell a competing product, so I'm biased of course...but I can tell
===>you that aluminum expands and contracts at a rate that is three
times
===>greater than a steel panel, yet is half as hard, tensile strength
===>wise. they are being beat to pieces by hail here in Texas.

===>True, but ya never know. Hey, they COULD be a reputable company.
===>It actually happens sometimes  :)
===>Seriously, I would thoroughly check out ANY contractor that feeds
===>me one of the corny used car sales lines. Try calling the local
===>better business burea and chambers of commerce to see if they
===>know anything on the company. Ask to see their warranties in
===>writing. Heck, ask for a financial statement while you're at it,
===>because they will be standing behind the work and you'll want
===>to know if they are financially stable enough to be there next
===>week/month/year "if" there's a problem.

===>Soory this reply sounds so "bitter and cold", but in my experience
===>in dealing with hundreds of roofing contractors each year, I tend
===>to go on my "gut feeling" a lot....and I don't like hearing a line
===>like "we need a sample House..." Go rent the movie "Tin Men" and
===>you'll see what I mean  :)

I've seen andheard about Fin-all roofing for about 15 years.
They're sort of a metal interlocking "tile"
Unfortunately, I have not heard or experienced how good they are

Final has done a lot of roofs in my area. Most customers are satisfied.

I am a contractor in Eastern Canada and they do a lot of that type of
advertising, Everyone seems to have a show home for them, One of my
customers wanted one, they started at $15,500.00 and ended up getting it
for $11,900.00, just by waiting them out. First price was a one day deal.

I think they have a good product, but I don't like the Idea of going over
the old roof.
 This roof is way overpriced, but not much competition against them in
this area for that type of metal roof. Product looks nice on!!!!!!!

Hope this helps

Robert I tend to agree with the others comments. There are successfully
installed metal roofs on buildings all over the world as well as leaking or
blown off roofs. While the material itself is quite vital to the integrity
of a new roof, it is no more important than the installation specifications
and quality of work.

Personally, I tend to be very skeptical of new products when it comes to my
money or my clients. Proven products, installed correctly will, in my
opinion, provide a roof of quality, with little or no headaches down the
road. Manufacturers spring up every day, and fail almost as quickly, but
not until many consumers have invested their hard earned money into
something they swear is the best thing to hit the market since Noah's Pitch

Like, Duh? Never ever be a test case for a new product in a industry like
roofing. They are several reputable roofing companies that will provide a
torch-on membrane roof and provide a twenty year gaurantee.
Don't get sucked in.

I agree with not being the test for a new product, it took quite some time
for the single plys to develop a good track record & work out the kinks
that come along with a product that hasn't yet found it's way around the
block. Next your considering a roof that's over $500 per sq. I hope that
means they're tearing off the existing roof system & you're getting new
roof system with 20 oz lead coated copper flashings, new drains, an
excellent R-value on a nice tapered insulation plan & a 15 yr warranty on a
roof that's FM rated for I-90. Find someone else & check them out. Barry
