SYSTEMS APPROACHES FOR FOREST MANAGEMENT
=================================================================
Oct. 8, 1993, 5:30pm
PSU Business School Room 270, 631 S.W. Harrison, Portland, Oregon
=================================================================

Sponsored by the Cascade Systems Society and the
Portland State University Systems Science Ph.D. program.
All are welcome. Refreshments will be provided.

Ken Franklin, Oregon Division of State Lands, will lead a discussion
of his use of systems dynamics and STELLA in the adaptive management
of forests as part of a total quality management program.
A report to the Clinton administration suggests that a more systemic
approach is needed for the management of forests.
Franklin is currently working on a paper titled "Adaptive Resource
Management: A Capacity Performance Perspective."
