I'm looking for a commercial (or other) networking product that does the
following:
- Runs on an IBM PC clone
- SIMULTANEOUSLY acts as a file server for:
-- a Novell network (for PCs on a local net)
-- an ethernet network or SLIP p-p link (for Sun workstation
access via NFS)
Basically I'm looking for a file server that can serve both Novell clients
and NFS clients that are on separate nets, possibly linked via a SLIP
telephone link. Visually, it looks like this:
+-----+ +-----+
| P C | | P C |
+-----+ +-----+
| |
+-------------+ +-------------+ | |
| Sun | SLIP phone link | PC | | |
| |<--------------------->| |<---------------------
| Workstation | <-- NFS access --> | File Server | <-- Novel access -->
+-------------+ +-------------+
Alternatively, is there an SBus card and kernel driver software for
Sparcstations that allows Novell network file access from PCs?
Please reply via e-mail. Thanks in advance!
