	I can't say that I've been as pleased.  Circa 1985 I had a
	cassette deck there three times, the first time to change a
	motor, the next two times to fix what they broke the first time.
	They ended up sending it out to another place because they
	couldn't fix it.  The result is I have a motor with the wrong
	pulley on it (so the play band falls off frequently) and the
	record level doesn't match the play level anymore (I don't know
	why they would have touched that).

	My wife had a similar experience with her VCR, though not as
	severe.

	I used to go to Transistor Service Company and copy a page or
	two from a service manual so that I could fix something myself.
	Unfortunately they don't allow customers to see schematics
	anymore.
