Hello out there. I've got some questions about doing Hood-to-Coast. 1.) How are you handling the non-allowed van exchange at 24? Other than keeping the Leg 1 runner up all night. We were thinking about just having Van 1 drop him off at exchange 25 and he would run back on the course until he got to the start of his leg (only 3.8 mi away), or Van 2 picks him up to take him back to the exchange. 2.) Any good ways to make Road Kill signs stay on the outside of the van without peeling off the paint when the sign is removed? 3.) How long does it take to get from St. Helens to Mist via Clatskanie? Is the road to Mist from Clatskanie narrow enough that it will cause traffic problems? Is there a better way to get to Exchange 25? 4.) The warning on Leg 32 that says only ORANGE vans allowed is a mistake, right? 5.) At the captains meeting, they didn't mention any current construction on the course. Does anyone know of any? 6.) How are other teams dealing with being out of touch with Runner 12 on the bike path from Clackamas Town Center? Last year our runner was chase by drunks, hopefully this time they will be passed out by the time we get there ;) 7.) Anyone discovered any problems that weren't mentioned at the captains meeting? Thanks! Pete Carleson carleson@apee.ogi.edu
