The following is a recent review from the Australian Magazine New
Weekly....

Caught in the Net Kay McMahon

Halloween this year is becoming a fast fading memory, though I must
admit
this was always one magic night dear to my heart. The appeal I guess,
is
that once upon a time I was a Goth chick who loved the whole culture of
dressing as morbidly as possible, dying my hair a frightening shade of
blue-black, and listening to such uplifting bands as The Sisters of
Mercy
and Bauhaus.

A few days ago I was doing my weekly horoscope check, and clicked on a
link
to a Details magazine article about how single Goths in American cities
find dates. Call me curious, because I then found myself here:

www.gothic-classifieds.com/

Which is a site totally dedicated to Goth culture. The romantic idea of
pale skinned post-punks in England gave way to these new American Goths
who
I'd never really given much thought to. The site has lists of Gothic
friendly night clubs across America, businesses, music and a link called
"Find a soulmate". This personals section is divided into regions
across
the states, so if you're keen to find a Gothy playmate in NYC, make sure
you check out this site.

What's even more exciting, is that there's gothic chat rooms with names
like "The Crypt", "Labyrinth" and "Tombs 1 to 4". Make sure your handle
is
suitably scary - these chat rooms are configured into frames, but
operate a
lot faster than similar styled chat rooms that I've visited. The people
are nicer too, and a lot more adult than the sort who frequent Vampire
Chat
on Web Broadcasting Systems. With tongue firmly in cheek, and under
fangs,
you can really enjoy yourself on-line.
