DIGITAL DESIGN ENGINEER

 Position:

Design, simulate, integrate/test and document various digital hardware 
projects in support Mobile Station ( terminal ) and other subscriber 
products. Work towards a Senior Design Engineer position through the 
successful execution of design tasks and understudy of other Design 
Engineers.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the design, simulation, integration/test and documentation pf 
various FPGA,ASIC and board design projects as part of a Digital Design 
Team.
* Printed Circuit Board ( PCB) design and documentation.
* Logic/FPGA/ASIC design and documentation using a combination of 
Hardware Description Language (HDL) and schematic capture based 
modules.
* Work closely with related groups ( software, RF, Mechanical and 
Systems Engineering, CAD, Manufacturing, Test and Procurement) to 
ensure successful product designs.
* Unit test/debug and system integration of hardware designs.
* Understudy other Design Engineers and become familiar with their 
design projects.

Qualifications:

* BSEE Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in digital electronics 
design and development.
* Logic and circuit design, FPGA design/simulation, PCB design, 
microprocessor design.
* Experience with HW/SW debug/integration of real-time embedded 
processor systems.
* Experience with high speed ( up to 40 Mhz) digital circuits and surface 
mount components.
* Working knowledge of lab test equipment ( digital oscilloscopes, logic 
analyzers, ect.) with strong troubleshooting skills.
* Additional attributes: Be able to take the lead in solving technical 
problems, works well with minimum supervision.
