NOW, We Would Hope That LIE DETECTOR TESTS Be Given Other McCain Enthusiasts~~~ We see how the young lady, who scarred herself with the letter B (backwards) in an attempt to discredit the Obama campaign was an outright LIE. Of course that's nothing new for certain Republicans and the Republican Party!!! Unfortunate, they haven't had Joe the Plumber (now with an attorney engaged to help him have published a book and speaking of running for congress) take a LIE DETECTOR TEST!!! With ALL the LIES being spread by McCain 'n' Palin, the public would be greatly served to have them subjected to one of those tests!! Most of the public, it appears, can now see thru the Republican LIES but other tests would serve to give greater/proper exposure of those LIES. We've been exposed to too many REPUBLICAN LIES over the past 8 (40) years!!! ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, you cannot expect someone like the alleged plumber to pay much attention when he can use his newfound fame to run for office and make money doing appearances. Two years from now, he's likely to be forgotten entirely except as a footnote to the presidential race.

Likely will not work, how would such a law distinguish between let's say a claim that the opponent favors gun control, and an outright distortion of the opponent's on gun control? How would such a ban be enforced, and who would have the power to enforce it? How would you prevent partisan enforcement?

There is no way the American public can understand what politicians are saying. The obomination has stated tax reductions below 250K which became 200K which became 150K which became 120K in the last week of the campaign. And nobody knows the real stat because you have to understand under which conditions he is truthfully making his statement.
