Why ? Our best athletes leave, the smartest rate our air amongst the worse. We get more cancers and heart disease. We get more violence and low rates of graduation from high schools. We keep retaining a lower and lower level of professional in our community, while the best and brightest don't stay too long. We are number 1 in asthma and respiratory deaths. We are near the top in country if not hemisphere from particulate pollution. so the real question is Why are you here?

Have you actually done anything that resembles true clinical epidemiological research wrt to that claim? Or is what you're saying purely anecdotal? What I say about the death rate is purely anecdotal and I know it. > We get more violence There are more gangs(THOUSANDS) in LA than anywhere in America. > and low rates of >graduation from high schools. That's true across the country. The drop-out rate is bad in places like you wouldn't expect in rural areas. > We keep retaining a lower and lower level of >professional in our community, You have yet to verify that you really have any contact with those kinds of people. I do because I'm part of that professional community. And the retention rate is a lot better than you think it is. How many scientists, educators, doctors, lawyers, business people, tech(internet) people do you actually know or come in direct contact with day-after-day? > We are number 1 in asthma and respiratory deaths. I mean, really... pool all of your resources and get out. Just move. Don't whine about how you can't do it. You *can* do it if you really wanted to. If you can travel to other places you can *move* to other places. So get on with it and stop attacking Phila.

What are you not seeing? One after one after one took off from here. > >>We get more cancers and heart disease. > > Have you actually done anything that resembles true > clinical epidemiological research wrt to that claim? > Or is what you're saying purely anecdotal? Ugh how you going to get that evidence, Karen, they don't want to scare people. I said I can think of tens of experiements which would prove this. The facts that most studies don't prove or do comparisons based on state or clean air should tell you something. I think though someone has done the research if you can find it.. I think Sperlings list of cities at some point showed Philadelphia with more cancer and heart disease, then average city.Face it Karen, have you ever gone to my links to show proof, or do you just come back saying its not happening five months later and you need more proof.? > > What I say about the death rate is purely anecdotal and I > know it. > >> We get more violence > > There are more gangs(THOUSANDS) in LA than anywhere in America. God Karen, so we are not number one! We are near the top in ratio of violence per population. look who is number one then? The city with the most particulates..lol !!!!!!! > >> and low rates of >>graduation from high schools. > > That's true across the country. Look Karen, your rationalizing allot allot of bad things if you think Philly is wonderful. > >> We keep retaining a lower and lower level of >>professional in our community, > > You have yet to verify that you really have any contact > with those kinds of people. Philly more then any city needs people who live here to get an understanding what they are giving their families. I said this before, when I am gone I will complain because I see what people will get even if they are not aware of it : POISONED and MORE POLLUTION then most places in America and more violence, and more asthma and asthma deaths and more asthma for kids, and most drs in USA to treat asthma and finally I dare anyone to compare our percentage of advertisers who are in health care.
