Anyone who mentions this article at 21st Century Sound in Bryn Mawr can get the new Shawn Colvin CD "Fat City" for $11.99. If you can't get to Bryn Mawr, e-mail me and maybe we can work something out. Why? How? you ask? Columbia/Sony is having a promotional campaign, and if I can get enough people to take me up on this offer, I get an autographed poster from Shawn. The CD is on sale at 21st Century for $12.99, but this promo takes another $1.00 off, to bring the price down to $11.99. If you haven't heard the album, it is even better than "Steady On" (IMHO). It has a fuller arrangement, rather than just Shawn and her guitar. I would compare it to Bruce Cockburn's "Nothing But a Burning Light" relative to his previous albums. The arrangements are more lush, but the basic song content is still there. "Fat City" is a more upbeat album that "Steady On." ============================================================================ Bill Pringle Software Tools Paramax Corporation Voice: (215)443-7500 X4023 Internet: wrp@ivy.unisys.com UUCP: ...!uunet!mimsy!widener!gvls1!wrp%ivy
