Know what you mean.  High pressure sales tactics are also used in fitness
clubs.  A few years ago I went in to check out a place near work and was
subjected to the same kind of techniques.  At one point during the 
barage the salemen asked if I had check out some other places and I 
described one of the places I had checked out.  He asked why I didn't join
there and I replied, "I didn't like their high pressure sales techniques".

I didn't join there club either.
