With regards to pricing, do some back-of-the envelope calculations as to whether the price you are willing to pay equals the services you expect to get. A completely computerized operation has a lot less overhead than one where there is viewing of video tapes, workshops/socials etc. One year I shopped around at a number of video sevices comparing the el-cheapo versus the more expensive, and it was fairly obvious that some of the el-cheapo services would not get enough cash flow from enough new members a month. They folded as predicted, not to mention the membership never got large enough to be interesting. I am not defending GE's $2000+ charge, much of which supports a high pressure sales force to get new members to join. But I doubt whether any kind of service that involves monthly office visits could be done for less than $50 /month.
