OK, I just tried the following: Install Mac 7.0 Merge Palm 8.0 Upgrade Mac 7.1 That process very nicely deletes the 68K compilers needed to do Palm development. This is so broken it's not even funny. I then tried this: Install Mac 7.0 Upgrade Mac 7.1 Merge Palm 8.0 That's a no-go, since the Palm installer tries to upgrade the IDE from 7.0, can't since the IDE from 7.1 is newer, and bags out of the whole install. Is it safe to put the compilers back into a 7.1 install? What else does the 7.1 upgrader delete that I might need? Note that the upgrader doesn't move things to the trash -- it just deletes them. A coworker suggested that CodeWarrior is getting out of the Palm development business. I don't believe that, but situations like this are very frustrating. When might we expect a fix for this?
