I am showing a Progress Dialog during a long interaction with another device. In the middle of this, I need to ask the user a Yes/No question. I am currently doing this with a FrmDoDialog launched modal dialog. When I return from that dialog, I get a nasty "bus error". IF I do a PrgStopDialog before calling my modal dialog, then I get a "Null progress ptr" from Progress.c(161). Now, if instead of using my own form & FrmDoDialog, I put up an alert using FrmCustomAlert - it shows up and doesnt crash. BUT it doesnt return to my progress dialog either... So, 1. What is different between FrmCustomAlert and what I do with FrmDoDialog? 2. Why does the ProgressDialog go away when I use the FrmCustomAlert... Much thanx in advance - I'm sure that I just dont understand yet exactly what happens with forms and redrawing in this situation with modal dialogs.. -- Gary Frankel
