This terminal+modem setup is excellent for dailing into your Unix shell
account at Pitt/CMU/Duquesne from your dorm room/apartment/house. Check
email and newsgroups using Ezmail/pine/tin, surf the net using lynx,
write papers/thesis using LaTeX/TeX/Emacs, crank out code using gcc, and
print stuff on school printers, all from the comfort of your home.
