An essay, "Future of Cascadia" by Discovery Institute Fellow John Hamer is
available in Seattle USA[tm]. Directions for getting there gopher/www:
Gopher address: URL address:
<gopher.seattle.wa.us> <gopher://gopher.seattle.wa.us/>
(or use an Internet search helper. Ask for 'Seattle USA'). When you arrive,
use the "Look for ______" feature; ask for 'Cascadia'.
Although the Hamer essay was written in 1993, it is still valid. The
Cascadia concept is an important interest to a number of public and
private entities in BC, WA, and OR. Many see Cascadia as a geographic
region whose interests often converge when it comes to the region's
transportation, culture, and markets.
My question to readers of bc.general and pnw.general: Do ordinary people
see Cacadia in the same light as our public and private 'pooh bahs'? ...
and your comments about Cascadia and whether people do (not) will be
appreciated.
("Ordinary' is used here to mean people like us who read & post to newsgroups.)
