If you know who this telemarketing firm is (or is there more than one), what they are "under contract" to do (i.e. what *are* they told to say/do) and their trustworthiness as "Primenet's agent," than you certainly know more than I do re: this issue. Furthermore and what you seem to be consistently overlooking, is the fact that the agreement I made with Primenet *specifically* foreclosed this event from ever occurring. In other words, they assured me unequivocally when I gave them my number and other personal information that they would under no circumstances give my information to a telemarketing agency. I was concise, articulate, and unambiguous in my request for this assurance when I gave Primenet my personal information in confidence. If they had been unwilling to assure me that they "would never give my information to a telemarketing agency" than I would have refused to give them the info they were requesting or gone to another ISP. > Giving them your number is no different than > making your number available to Primenet employees, because that's > _exactly_ what they are. I disagree with you. If I were to entrust to you my personal carry and obtain your assurance that *you will not* turn it over to anyone else to use or work on, would you feel right in turning it over to someone else to use or modify ?
