The Folk Calendar is compiled by me for WPSU, Penn State's local
public radio station. The calendar is read on the air during
WPSU's Folk Show, which airs at the following times:
Saturday 6AM-11AM
Sunday 8AM-11AM
Wednesday 8PM-midnight
Where possible, I've included a phone number you may call for more
information on each event.
If you have information you'd like included in the calendar, send
it to me at lrl@psuvm.psu.edu or lrl@psuvm.bitnet.

**** LOCAL EVENTS ****
The Acoustic Brew Coffeehouse has announced its fall schedule. Acoustic
Brew provides a place to hear folk music in an intimate smoke and alcohol
free environment. Shows are held at the Center for Well Being in Lemont.
The first concert of the season will be 8PM on Friday, September 18 and
will feature Cormac McCarthy, with local favorite Rene Campbell opening
the show. Cormac McCarthy, one of New England's most clever and gifted

images of growing up in a failing New Hampshire mill town. McCarthy
was named Best Folk Performer, Best Songwriter, and Best Solo Artist
