I am looking for a working VHF model Yaesu FTC-2205 radio modified by
YAESU for Telco service and marketed under the name: "Traveler SMART/IMTS
Portable Telephone".
Yaesu took a good HAM work-horse and added on some extra microprocessor
circuitry to make it scan the telco channels and respond to IMTS/MTS/SMART
signalling protocols.
It can be distinguished from the normal HAM unit by the fact that it has
an LCD display and a touch-tone pad with 16 buttons sticking out of the
front face of the unit.
If you have one (preferably working), please let me know. Also looking for
a charger (of course), and maybe the hand spkr/mike.
The hand-held mike is a YM-44; charger models are any of: NC-7; NC-8A;
NC-9B; NC1A; NC-3A or PA-3.
