ATTENTION : ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT
================================================================================

I have formed a job search group for EE's in Comm and DSP (and closely related
fields). The enrollment is currently sufficient, but I'd like to enlist more
members. I'm looking for people who would be willing to spend some time in a
concerted group effort to help each other find satisfying jobs in Comm and DSP.

At present, the group is about ready to vote on its overall goals, which may
include setting up a system for reviewing each other's resumes, answering
questions, exchanging job contacts and job leads, interacting with industry
people in hiring positions, and helping to create and organize a comprehensive,
personal job search kit.

I believe that as a group, we can be of great help to one another. We have
some interesting ideas and I'm looking for motivated, ambitious and creative
people to join us in an experiment that could have substantial benefits for
the participants. If you are interested in getting in on the ground floor,
please check this out...

I have started a job search group for Electrical Engineers in the area of
digital communications and digital signal processing. I'm hoping to pool
resources with other graduating engineers in my field for our mutual benefit.

Here's the basic idea. We will have an informal "newsgroup" that will exist
solely for the purpose of sharing employment leads and discussion. Since we
are all in the same area, we should be able to help each other out by sharing
whatever information or ideas we might have.

Besides general discussion, we will be brainstorming ideas for inventive ways
to conduct a successful job search. As a team, we should be able to greatly
enhance our possibilities and resources. I am especially looking for unique
ideas and approaches to a EE job search, and we have some interesting ideas
already.

Please do not respond to this post if you are not serious about being involved
or if you are in another field of study, even in EE. All the information on
this group will be geared toward employment in the field of digital comm or
signal processing and CLOSELY related fields (radar, image processing, remote
sensing, etc). More than likely, the group will be geared toward entry-level
employment, but there will be exceptions.

If you really want a good job and you're willing to participate, please send
me e-mail to this effect. I have high expectations for this group and I plan
to make it work. Please explain why you are interested and what you may be
able to offer the group. If our goals match, I will give you the necessary
instructions for joining our group.

Thank you, and I hope to hear from you soon!
