Well... you go to Eatons in BC and you never see signs in French...
You may see it in Chinese though...   oh well...   

At least I guess Eatons employees are bilingual... and most of stores
in montreal are bilingual which is helping me a lot... since I don't
speak French well... 

I can read though... I am forced to read French signs so I don't have
any difficulties in reading the signs anymore.   I took about a year
to get "proficient" for French signs.

I must admit that most people in Montreal are French speaking or have
ability to communicate in French.   I don't see any points for forcing
English signs.   You don't have to go to the stores [where no english
signs ?] if you don't like them.      I go to the stores where no
english signs are shown but I don't go to the stores where employees
don't speak English...  simple as that... if they don't need
anglophone's business... it's their choice.   Why do we have to force
them to make profit of their business ?   It's silly.
