I am new to this newsgroup and not really sure if this is the correct
place to ask for the following information. I am looking for a good
source for cheap 16 bit ADC and DAC chips. The only place that I have
found is Analog Devices but they want $160 a chip. CD Players have two
DACs and I can't image they cost $160 each given the price of some
units.

Replacement part numbers for devices used in RDAT or other such
equipment, might be the best place for me to start looking. Anyone
having a source for cheap 16 bit DAC and ADC chip or part numbers for
chips currently being used in digital audio equipment, please email with
your information.

Thanks, Ed DeHart / wa3yoa
