🚀 go-pugleaf

I'm looking to buy my first amp and speakers and would like some advice 
and suggestions on what should I get.  My budget is $AUD1400.
 
I've bought a couple of hi-fi magazines from which I made a list of
possibilities.

Amps (would like a 100W [approx] one) :
- Pioneer A-400
- Rotel RA930AX
- Cyrus I or II
- Rega Brio
- Aura VA-50

The Pioneer and Cyrus's are highly recommended by the mags.  Does anyone
agree/disagree with the mags ?  Opinions sought.

I went to a couple of shops and one dealer showed me a Yamaha AX-570.  
Though I thought it sounded pretty good, the mags didn't give it a 
recommendation.  In another shop, the dealer showed me the Marantz PM-52
which also didn't get a recommendation from the mags (I thought this one
sounded pretty good too!).  Anyone who has heard it please give me your
opinion on it.  I don't want to rely too heavily on mags.

Speakers :
- Epos ES11
- Tannoy 609 or 605 Mk 2
- Rogers LS2A/2
- Mission 780
- Celestion 3 Mk 2
- Arcam Alpha or Delta 2

All the speakers above were recommended by the mags.  Of course, I'll have
a listen to them but as a first time buyer I don't really know what to 
look for.  Since the Epos and Rogers received the highest recommendations
I'd like to know what you think .  Any help/suggestions is appreciated.
