Since there are so many people who hate me for selling my late husband's coin collection without any knowledge about coins, I've decided to stop selling them through the net. I've gotten some really sick e-mail in the past few days as well as *death threats* (that's right, death threats, from three people) and I have contacted authorities to have these guys tracked down. I will at this point do whatever is legally necessary to see that they cease and desist this harrassment. It's a really sad thing that the Internet is available for people to benefit from and, although there are plenty of liars and cheats out there, as soon as someone posts something that's not 100% acceptable to everyone on the net, you all swoop down on each other like a bunch of vultures. Kind of an indication of the sad state of our society in general. Although there have been some people who simply tried to give me some "constructive criticism" (which was really unnecessary anyway), the real flamers obviously have nothing better to do than to make other people miserable. It's a game to them and I think they do this to everyone because they're just plain bored. Well, it's no big loss since I managed to sell about 75% of the coins I had (the net is not the only media by which I've been selling my coins, by the way). To those of you who have already placed orders or have payments in the mail, I will still send you the coins you ordered. But I will not be accepting any new orders. I will, however, continue to sell my Barbie doll collection. I can't imagine anyone would have a problem with that because this is something I'm knowledgeable about, and I've been selling them for the past year with not even one complaint. I also have plenty of letters or praise, thank you's, referrals, etc. just in case anyone decides to switch gears from my coin collection to my Barbie collection. But I suppose no matter what I do, it's inevitable that one crazy person will start a flame war because I misspelled a word in my ad or something stupid like that. I apologize to anyone who I offended except those who were downright nasty to me. Now that I'm no longer selling my coin collection through the net, is everyone happy? Can we stop the flames and the harrassing e-mail? Thank you, Teri
