You're joking, aren't you? As far as giving any insight into how
to do difficult tricks, Kit Summers' book is as much use as a
chocolate teapot. The diagrams are crap- nowhere near as good as
those in The Complete Juggler.
But I would definitely say that Summers' book is worth buying,
just for the photographs. My favourite is the one of Bela Kremo doing
a three ball cascade with one arm behind his back- one of my
favourite tricks. But don't buy this book to teach youself to juggle.
I honestly believe that most jugglers buy juggling books because
they enjoy reading about their art (nothing wrong with that)- I don't
think any of them are really that much use for teaching oneself.

Erm. I suppose so; but, I guess, the thing is that Kit Summers doesn't go on about how good at teaching you his book is, whereas Dave Finnigan does. And whilst I suspect that Finnigan may well be excellent at teaching people in person, The Complete Juggler smacks of being simply him transcribing his method for teaching to a book -- and it just doesn't work. Summers' does, at least, give the impression of having been written to learn from as a book, rather than as a method of teaching. If you see what I mean. -- Daniel Mitchell = ke94002@black.ox.ac.uk = skinny bi lycra-clad furry juggler
