Unwarping a wing is probably my least favorite excercise in modeling but
occasionally you gotta do it so heres my procedure.
Fill your bathtub with HOT water. Now take a brush and brush a little
water over the wing sheeting and wait a few minutes holding the wing in the
steam, coming off of the water. Now, apply a twist in the opposite direction
and block the wing on your workbench with the opposite twist in. After drying
overnight, remove the wing and inspect for strightness. You may have to do this
a few times to get it right. Small warps can be removed when covering, but
you must re-check the wing when you go to fly and then rewarp it. Also, the
wing will probably start to warp as the covering sags during the day.
The straighter your wing is the better your plane will fly!
If anybody has a better way to do this please post it. I'm always open to
suggestions.
