(This is my last post for today, I promise.) I was having no end of trouble with the backplate of my Goldberg (4-pin) 2.5" spinner slipping (APC 11-6 prop, OS 50 FSR motor). It didn't help that I needed a spacing washer between the drive washer and the spinner backplate to give cowl clearance. I tried everything, roughening the surfaces, cutting grooves with my dremel tool, etc to try to increase friction, but I still could barely even tighten the prop nut without the prop slipping out of position on the backplate. When I did think it was right the prop would still come loose after one flight. I finally hit on the idea of throwing the dremel tool away, but keeping the thin cut-off disks and putting one on each side of the spinner backplate. These things grip like crazy!
