*URGENT* I noticed there has been no converstion concerning the proposed FCC 72-76MHz band reorganization that was explaned in a post made around the 12th of this month. (title was Frequency Alert) I hope that means that you are all too busy writing letters to the FCC and your congresspersons. THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF FOLKS! If the proposed changes go though we can kiss channels 11-42 off The plan puts mobile transmitters only 2.5Khz off of our channels! I doubt that it would be safe to trust even the best of narrow band receivers to reject a multiple time more powerful signal that close. If you haven't read the orginal posting, GO FIND IT! I could perhaps repost it, or the the author might. The last time something sneaky like this was done, amature radio operators lost a big chunk of spectrum to United Parcel Service. Big money is behind this push, and they have clout. OUR ONLY HOPE IS A GRASS ROOTS EFFORT TO STOP IT. DO SOMETHING NOW! Its *your* hobby and investment that you will save. (stepping down from box now...) BB E-mail welcome.
