Hi Folks,
         the August update slipped into September when I unexpectedly
found myself sick at home for a couple of days.  But its now posted and
for something a little different I've finally managed the long promised
Lavochkin La-9 walkaround (72 images) - pictures of ZK-LIX during its
restoration and in action immediately prior to the Ardmore airshow earlier
this year.  This is the aircraft that is now operating in the UK.

The site had also passed another milestone. Having first gone live in
August 1996 (the counter was added on Sep 4, 1996), the site has now been
operating for seven years.  Thankyou to all who have dropped by, and to
the many people who have contacted me!

For those of you who haven't seen this site, it currently displays  over
4800 original images covering more that 200 different aircraft types and
aviation activities relating to New Zealand.  This includes many warbirds,
and a number of vintage aircraft.  For the modeller and enthusiast I have
included a number of 'detail' photos (subjects include Spitfire, Mustang,
Sea Fury, Vampire and Harvard, and more ...).  Interior photographic tours
now include Lancaster NX665, Catalina ZK-PBY, An-12 LZ-SFL,  AW650 Argosy
ZK-SAE and a C-130H.  The site also includes the most comprehensive
listing of New Zealand aviation related websites - over 500 links.

Next update: more catching up on the airshow reports - Ardmore, Kaipara,
Taupo,  and maybe a few more.
