Hi Folks,
Finally - an update (my first since December). I have added
a two page report on the 2001 Classic Fighters Airshow at Omaka, just in
time for the 2003 show which will be held over Easter. Some of the
pictures (Boomerang, Camel, etc) have been previously added, so this time
the featured aircraft include : Beech Staggerwing (6 images), Cessna A-37
(5 images), Cessna 172 (7 images), Cessna 185 (1 image), Consolidated
PBY-5A Catalina (7 images), Curtiss P-40N-1 (3 images), DH104 Devon (5
images), DH115 Vampire (1 image), Douglas DC-3 (1 image), Fairchild F-24
(2 images), Lincoln Sports (6 images), Lockheed C-130 (1 image), NA P-51D
Mustang (3 images), NA Harvard (3 images), Ryan PT-22 (2 images), Ryan STM
(2 images), Socata TB-9 (3 images), Socata TB-20 (1 image). That's 69
images overall. Should be something in there to interest most people!
Hopefully the next update won't take so long!

For those of you who haven't seen this site, it currently displays over
4500 original images covering more that 190 different aircraft types and
aviation activities relating to New Zealand. This includes many warbirds,
and a number of vintage aircraft. For the modeller and enthusiast I have
included a number of 'detail' photos (subjects include Spitfire, Mustang,
Sea Fury, Vampire and Harvard, and more ...). Interior photographic tours
now include Lancaster NX665, Catalina ZK-PBY, An-12 LZ-SFL, AW650 Argosy
ZK-SAE and a C-130H. The site also includes the most comprehensive
listing of New Zealand aviation related websites - over 500 links.

Next update: more catching up on the 2001 airshow reports - Ardmore,
Kaipara, Taupo, and maybe a few more. I also have a couple of interesting
new walkarounds in the works - like the world's only airworthy La-9.

                  Phil.
