Hi Folks,
I have completed the 2000 Air Force Open Day at Whenuapai page
and started on the Wanaka 2000 page. This will the last showpage from last
year to complete. Aircraft updated at this time include DH 115 vampire (3
images), PBY-5a Catalina (2 images), Corby Starlet (1 image), P-40 (26
images), and Bleriot XI pages (21 images). Usual update of Links (2
additions, 2 corrections) plus Site statistics.
The P-40 aircraft are the Hogan/Darby P-40N-1 and Dick Thurmann's P-40K.
For those of you who haven't seen this site, it currently displays over
3000 original images covering more that 180 different aircraft types and
aviation activities relating to New Zealand. This includes many warbirds,
and a number of vintage aircraft. For the modeller and enthusiast I have
included a number of 'detail' photos (subjects include Spitfire, Mustang,
Sea Fury, Vampire and Harvard, and more ...). Interior photographic tours
now include Lancaster NX665, Catalina ZK-PBY, An-12 LZ-SFL, AW650 Argosy
ZK-SAE and now a C-130H. The site also includes the most comprehensive
listing of New Zealand aviation related websites - over 350 links.
Next Update: Tummelisa, Mig-15, ...
Phil.
