If I understand correctly, Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio makes so much out of
the fact of their having quite a few rollercoasters on their premises, making
them something of a Mecca for rollercoaster fans.

Conversely, Wisconsin Dells happens to make quite a lot(?) on their having
among three water-fun parks:

*four wave pools;

*three Lazy Rivers;

*23 tube slides (including six dark slides);

*14 body slides;

*six mat slides;

*two water-play areas;

*nine kids' water-play areas; plus

*the obvious aggolomerations of coin-operated lockers, deck chairs, changing
rooms, food-service areas and gift/souvenir shops.

Is there, perhaps, something in the chemistry of the Wisconsin Dells region as
may explain why water-fun parks are just so naturally adaptable to the
Wisconsin Dells summertime scene, as opposed to, say, rollercoaster-dominated
attractions?

(Not to knock down the Dells' being home to quite a few go-kart tracks and
mini-golf courses as have also won something of a cult following, howbeit not
exactly in the same league as the water-fun parks and/or wave pools....)
