Sanford Sternlicht (svsternl@mailbox.syr.edu) wrote a rather disingenuous
post thanking people, including alt.folklore.urban readers, for
commenting on his book. He managed to mention the book's title as the
Subject: line, and again in the body of his message. He managed to post
the damned article three times.

He signed off:

: Sanford Sternlicht
: English Department
: Syracuse University
: Syracuse NY 13244 USA
: svsternl@mailbox.syr.edu

From his post we can conclude that (a) he doesn't know about the McQuarry
limit on .sigs (b) he doesn't know diddly about selecting appropriate
newsgroups for his posts (c) he doesn't know how to post to USENET or has
been eating vast quantities of cucumbers and (d) he is ignorant or
indifferent to the norm of not advertising on newsgroups.
