The Santa Clara County Planning Commission is holding
a public meeting tomorrow on their recommendations
for revising or amending the County's domestic pet
and kennel ordinances.

Any pet owners, _especially_ breeders or other
kennel operators, should try to attend this
hearing to learn what is going on and voice your
concerns.

Decisions on recommendations to the full Board of Supes
will be made at this meeting.

This is the second item on the agenda for the meeting,
but it's best to get there on time in case the first
item is short.

WHEN: Thursday, April 4, 1:30 pm
WHERE: SCC Supervisors Chambers, 70 W. Hedding Street, San Jose.

(I'm posting this to rec.equestrian also since
there is considerable overlap in animal ownership,
AND because I wouldn't put it past our local guv'mint
to try to reclassify our horses as Domestic Pets for
tax and license purposes. We must be ever vigilant!)

More information on the meeting agenda can be
had by calling the Planning office at 299-2454.

(Hey Santa Clara County, when are you going to get
