Does anybody know of any place to deep water running in Chicago? Any
classes would be especially great! I contacted CARA (Chicago Area Runners
Association) and a bnunch of rehab centers and clinics in the area and no
one knew of any classes or places to do it, aside from joining a health
club with a pool. Unfortunately, this very expensive option is beyond by
means.

I know in NYC the NYRRC club has a deep water running "program" or class
offered in conjunction with a local Y. I am really hoping to find
something like this in Chicago.

Anybody heard of anything like this?

I _was_ training for the NYC marathon, but have injured my knee. It is
either really really bad inflamation of the IT band or a strain of my
patella tendon. The doctor can't make up his mind which. In either case,
it hurts alot even to walk. And he seems convinced I haven't torn
anything.

But I am going stir crazy! From 50 miles a week to nothing! Arrrgh. Hence,
I turn to deep water running. But I am having no luck there either.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
