On Sunday, March 24, 1996 at 2:00 PM, American University and its MBA students will host the first annual 'American Classic 8K', a family fitness day including a 2-mile Health Walk & Kid's Run, on behalf of the Community Council for the Homeless at Friendship Place (CCH/FP) in northwest Washington, D.C. CCH/FP is a grass roots outreach organization founded and supported by local citizens, congregations, and businesses, dedicated to helping the homeless in their community to rebuild their lives. I'm sorry, but this is no marathon! A marathon is 26.2 miles long, and
this race is only 5 miles long. Lets get our usage correct, even if
this is a very worthwhile event that should be supported.
