If you're like me, and use search engines routinely, you'll love this new Search Engine, AltaVista. It is extremely fast and claims to have 16 million URLs. It can be found at http://altavista.digital.com On our Hash House Harrier pages we include the eight best search engines, ready configured for use. AltaVista rightly sits at the top of the list, even more comprehensive than Lycos. If you visit our site, and want to skip all the Hash stuff, jump straight to Search Engines. http://www.ravenet.com/hhhh/

I am new to this newgroup & to the net! I came across this posting and agree--even tho I am just learning I have found this search engine to be powerful and not as frustrating as others I have worked with. Thanks. triweb@one.net (Marty Miller) wrote: >Before you flame this post, let me say that I have heard great things about >this search engine.
