All, Is it possible to burn MP3s so that they look like the sound track of a normal VCD and hence can be played in a dvd/vcd player? Does anyone know the difference between the MPEG Audio compression used on VCDs and the MP3 compression format? This will eliminate two problems ie 1) uncompressing MP3s then buring as cd-audio 2) the need for a "rio" like mp3 player. Pyro

VideoCD uses MPEG layer TWO audio not layer THREE. crappier quality by far. >This will eliminate two problems ie > >1) uncompressing MP3s then buring as cd-audio You'd have to uncompress the layer 3 then recompress as layer 2. no thanks. get a program like Nero Burning CDROM and you can burn Mp3 files to CD-DA (standard audio CD) in one pass.
