Recall on Chrysler axels ?????

RECALL ON CHRYSLER AXEL ????
Have you had problems with the rear trailer axel on Chrysler compact FWD
cars such as the
Shadow, Sundance, Duster, Lebaron from 89 and up ???
There probably should have been a recall on this part as the welds are prone
to fail. Investigation with several dealers revealed that the old part number
has been superceded by a new part number. I was told that this old part is
defective and the new part is the replacement. At the current time there is
no recall.
Why should you pay for something that Chysler should fix for you ? There is
not much you can do if you already replaced this part but you could contact
the National Highway Traffic Safety Administraton. If they get enough
complaints they may bring about a recall.
Pass along this information to you friends, print out a copy and post it in a
place were a lot of pepole will see it.
