The 2nd and 3rd concerts of the KTRU Jazz concert series will taking
place this Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24, in the Rice University
Coffee House. Both shows will start at 10pm.

March 23 -- Human Feel. Human Feel are young musicians from New York.
They infrequently play as an ensemble, but each individual musician has
played with many older more established progressive jazz musicians. One
could describe them as the antithesis to the all too popular "Young Lions,"
a group of musicians who have received way more credit than they deserve
for reproducing a sound and style which was perfected over 30 years ago.
(That's my personal opinion, not KTRU's.)

March 24 -- ROVA saxophone quartet from San Francisco. ROVA put on a great
performance on the Rice campus 3 years ago. The ensemble creates
a unique blend of sounds and blurs the boundries between modern classical
and jazz music.

My descriptions are not too descriptive. You need to check out the groups
for yourselves.

Price: each show is $10
	or, free for Rice students
	$5 for other students

Coming in April: AMM & Tim Berne's Bloodcount
