Senior Systems Programmer

Salary: 38,647-$41,883 per annum (HEW Level 7)

1 year contract (renewable)

A salary loading may be available to an appointee of exceptional high calibre

The Department requires a Systems Programmer who will join a team 
responsible for the operation of the Department's computing infrastructure 
which supports the Department's teaching and research programs. The successful 
applicant will provide support to academic and administrative staff and to 
other systems programmers. 

Duties will include Unix (Solaris+Irix) + DB (ORACLE) administration, 
investigating and correcting system faults, monitoring system usage and 
security, developing in-house utilities and applications, assisting in 
project management and planning, and evaluating and supporting software 
application products.

A Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or related 
field and experience in relevant systems support areas is required.
