A position exists for a Unix Systems administrator at RMIT. The position was advertised in last Saturday's age (14/3). A summary of the position is given below, and applications close 27/3/98. Graduates are welcome to apply. RMIT UNIVERSITY Position: -------- Unix Systems Administrator 3 year contract Salary Range: $36,800 - $39,835 pa Ref. No. 1907 Description: ----------- Information Technology Services requires a Systems Administrator, Ideally with a degree in Comp. Sci. or closely related qualifications. The successful candidate requires extensive experience with the Solaris operating system and associated networking technologies [Unix experience on other platforms would also be highly regarded] Exposure to some of the following operating systems is also desireable: * Windows NT4 * Email/Groupware servers and gateways * Netware V4 * DNS, BootP, Tftp server These positions are presently based at the city campus, however the successful candidates may be required to work at other campuses of the university.
