Australians rejoice, even if Channel 9 has lousy timing considering
Gene's death. 

My information applies only to Melbourne, but I suggest it is
the same for other Australian cities. This is posted to world
(rec.arts.startrek) so that you people know we finally have
got TNG :)

Saturday night, November 2, 1991 Channel 9 is showing
first off "Star Trek: From one generation to the next" featuring
interviews with the cast and crew, "The Cage" and previews of 
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. This starts at 8:30pm
and continues for 2 hours.

Following this, we have "Encounter at Farpoint" the debut
of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

I assume this means TNG will air in a regular basis from
then on.

YAY!
