Isn't there some thing like an AmigaLibs.guide describing all
the amiga library's etc?

I think this would be very usefull, and would also help people
programming software for amiga which will be a good thing for
keeping amiga alive!!

You mean AutoDocs? I remember a script with the original Amiga
Guide archive that would take the official Amiga Autodocs and
Includes and link these into an AmigaGuide doc. I believe on
Aminet there might still be some incarnations of this...

BTW, is it really neccesary to post this in about every group
in the comp.sys.amiga hierarchy?

If you're talking about Amiga shared libraries, you can find this in:

  ftp.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/docs/help/LibrariesGuide.lha

or, if this works right, click <DL><DT><A
HREF="ftp.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/docs/help/LibrariesGuide.lha"<B>here</B></A> <DD><TT>

The file "LibrariesGuide.lha" is on Aminet 5 CD-ROM March 95 in docs/help

It is *not* a complete listing of libraries with offsets and registers for
passing data to the routines. It is merely an overview explaining the
mechanics of how Amiga shared libraries work with code snipits to
illustrate.

Besides the ROM Krenal Manuals there is also a book called "Mapping the
Amiga" by Randy Thompson and Rhett Anderson which covers libraries,
structures and pre-AGA hardware registers by Compute! books. I'm not sure
if either of these two resources is still available but are worth it if you
can find them.
