Hopefully this electrical crisis will bring power generation to the forefront of people's minds. You know, I think my grandparents used to pump the water from the well by hand. Here's a question for you. How many kW hours does it take to pump a gallon of water a 100 feet? Assume the pump doesn't experience any head loss.
