I recently tried Costco, the price was way too high. Then Auto by Tel, a great price but no car close to my spec. was available - they could order one (4-8 wks). So Auto by Tel would have been good if I weren't in a hurry. But the very best find was the Golden Bay credit union car shopping service. Real nice ham by the name of Bill Fultz. http://www.goldenbay.org/ +1 415 969 9260. Not only did he do the shopping around, found a better price than Auto by Tel and the car was available immediately and almost exactly matched my spec. (only $100 in unwanted goodies and cheaper (out the door) than all the alternatives), Golden Bay has great loan rates too. The only snag, you have to qualify as a member of the credit union. If you are employed and your employer is a member of a local chamber of commerce then you qualify. There may be others ways to qualify. good luck Henry. Just a satisfied customer. shane#1 (shane1@pacbell.nett) wrote: : Has anyone here used any of these buying services locally? : CSAAA Insider program : CU Auto Sales : PriceCostco : AutobyTel : Car Bargains : If so, what are your experiences? : -- : post reply on this newsgroup or : email replies to: shane1@pacbell.net
