The punishment for breaking that law is death in the most oppressive of those nations. I happened to live for several years in a country who elected its officials by a democratic process (truly it was democratic), but which had laws that had no tolerance for free thinking, and which held the dubious distinction of being among the worst of nations when it came to jailing or penalizing journalists. (Guess which country that is....a valued ally of the United States, by the way.) Making sure the idea is circulated in the minds of the populace is more important than attributing that idea to an author, who may risk his life or liberty in expressing those views. Debate the merits of the message rather than finding fault in the messenger. MG
