joes warrant for Hit and Run, FTA, DUI and petty theft was out of Placer County Calif. Placer County placed a hold on him, picked him up in a private aircraft and flew him back to Placer County for arraignment. Interesting enough is the fact his crimes appear to be misdemeanors which brings into question the use of a private aircraft to transport him. His petty theft crime stems from stealing items from his mother. Things that make you go hum, it is rare that the Placer Co Sheriff's office would fly a misdemeanor offender from LA. Generally this luxury is reserved for a felon and usually a serious one at that. I think you'll find most law enforcement agency's would have used the bus. Also I think the aircraft was a Cessna 421 but couldn't tell the year.

Yes Placer Co. is the Greatest........Also I know that Sheriff Bonner would NOT misuse public funds. Plus who air plane was it? I think this is just another rumor on the Threads made up by some loser to raise discussions.... It's bad enough with what is going on for real. But to start a bunch of crap for the sake of it, is a person who has nothing else to do with his time.

Hey I've got some arizona ocean front property for sale dirt cheap. You interested? Placer county to LA isn't all that far and transport by car would have sufficed. http://www.placer.ca.gov/maps/county-re-sac.htm Even a transport from LA to Sacramento airport on a commercial flight would work.

Cops that make ten bucks an hour? Maybe in bumfuck Mississippi. Try more like 30-45 an hour. And when they make an overnight trip, they receive a per diem to cover meal costs. Usually something like $60 a day. So 16 hours x 3 officers x 40 an hour + (60 per diem x 3 officers x 2 days) = 2280. That's without even counting the motel room or the mileage costs on the car. > > Rental of aircraft at the least $100 per hour, most likely for 6 hours, > total $600.00 > Not to mention the officers pay on top of that. 3 officers x 6 hours x 40 per hour + 600 for the plane = $1320. > Any unforseen down time of the aircraft is also part of the rental > agreement. Depends on the reason, not to mention it's unlikely. > So if it takes a few hours to get the guy moved to the airport, that all > adds up too. Well, I'm allowing six hours total, so that's taken in to account. Still cheaper by a thousand bucks or so to fly him in. > > Which is cheaper? Unless the aircraft time is donated, I'd say the drive in > the car is cheaper. > I'd say you grossly underestimate labor costs. Starting pay for a CHP or state police in California is about 42-48K per year, depending on things like education and languages. Average pay per year easily runs 60-80K per year for most non-supervisory CHP and state police; add in benefits and you get a labor cost of easily 40 bucks an hour. Bo Raxo

Where is "duck Lake"?
Who is this "Sheriff's Office" and "Highway Patrol"?
Who is this "Fire Department"?
I'm guessing it's all no where near me since you POSTED to all these
other groups who wouldn't give a flip either.

Sounds like someone got a DUI and is not responsible enough to admit
when he
screwed up.
If you were sober and got pulled over then it would not have been an
issue for
you but since you ended up in jail you are going to scream you are
innocent
untill people agree (not believe) with you. I ride a motorcycle and
dont want
Drunks or People on dope riding around me. so you will find no
sympathy here.

I have just been informed by the chairman of the "Top Post Committee"
(which
hasn't been selected, yet) that the rules for top posting have not
been
formalized and there is no basis for furthur investigation of this
matter,
at this time.. My own experience dictates that I issue a ruling on the
matter .. As follows, this ruling is in effect immediately and should
be
adherred to .. Top posting is allowed for convenience and elemination
of
frivolous posting (such as this one).. IceMan et al.. are permitted
posting
wherever they feel like since it is all a matter of form.. No furthur
action
will be taken at this time..
