Actually, I had a pretty good experience with Suntrips to Puerto Vallarta.

February is a great time of the year in PV (~85 degrees, 'water is warm).

The trip cost me (3 years ago) $350.00 for airfare + hotel (not a great
hotel... Holiday Inn in PV).

Food was good and inexpensive there.  They have water purification in 
the town so we ate/drank everything w/o problems.

Then again, you could simply wrap yourself up and put a bow on your head
(guys like that sort of stuff... just make sure a neighbor doesn't
knock on your door first).
